As already mentioned this is will be around one hour covering mathematics, analytical ability and your proficiency in English.
What it requires...
1) A Good Mathematical and analytical ability
2) Knowledge of the procedures to solve standard problems
3) A Sound English proficiency
How are we going to acquire it...?
Four Months from the Interview
1) A Good Mathematical and analytical ability
One has to accept the fact that this doesn't come to everyone naturally as this depends mostly on the way one has been brought up in their childhood. However ,,nothing is impossible, Alas you are not going to learn rocket science and the tests are not going to be as hard as the 'CAT' or other competitive exams .The only fool proof and tested method to get any skill is 'To practice' and the more problems you solve ,the more talented and skilled you become. I am sure that consistent practice of the problems would definitely make a difference in the way u solve problems and the number of problems u get it right. This is also the ideal time when u can judge urself where u are in the competitive arena. So u should put the work that is required to compete with the best.
Whenever u browse, open a window separately for solving puzzles and brain teasers ,this would increase ur 'Out of the box thinking'.
2) Knowledge of the procedures to solve Standard problems
To the best of my knowledge ,questions of all Company papers would be covering the same topics in both the quantitative and analytical skills type
They are
Quantitative
1)Time and Work
2)Time and distance
3)Clocks
4)Boats and Streams
5)Age
5)Cubes
6)AP and GP
7)Mixtures
Analytical ability
1)Venn Diagrams
2)Odd one out
3)Seating arrangement
4)Questions like 'All Dogs are cats ,All cats are rats...'
5)Logical matching of attributes.
All these topics take two to three days of one hour work to master and learn the concepts and mastered. So take one at a time and learn all the concepts involved in it first and practice the problems atlest 10 to 15 problems a day.Make a s chedule so that u finish almost all topics within 3 months.
